The Mission

Black Tie Digital set out to transform how property is bought and sold in Australia by integrating cryptocurrency into the real estate process. But before building anything, they needed clarity, what the platform should do, who it was for, and how it would actually work.

They came to us with a big idea: create a B2B portal where agents and businesses could sign up, manage property listings, onboard their teams, promote properties, and accept crypto as part of the payment flow. My role was to help take this concept and shape it into something real, from strategy to structure to flows.

What I Focused On

Workshops & Research
I helped run workshops and interviews with agents, stakeholders, and the internal team to define the vision, user needs, and key features. This also included exploring crypto integration and what that might look like from a compliance, user, and transactional standpoint.

MVP Structure & User Flows
Mapped out key user journeys across the agent lifecycle, onboarding, listing creation, team access, payment flows, and ad promotion. Designed user flows and wireframes in Figma to support business conversations and developer estimates.

Portal creation
Worked across business and tech to ensure that what we designed was not just user-friendly but buildable. Connected the dots between user needs, market expectations, and dev feasibility, helping define what should be in the MVP and what could wait.

The Result

The project gave Black Tie a clear direction, confident MVP scope, and real design artefacts they could use to validate the concept and pitch for funding. It turned an ambitious idea into something tangible and market-ready.

More than anything, it gave the client confidence that their concept could be shaped into a proper product, one that made sense for users, delivered value, and stood out in a highly traditional market.
